This artwork is a multi-layered bleed monotype overplayed with drypoint. It is part of a series of three monotypes. Delicately scratched drypoint lines compliment the larger sweeping shapes of painterly color and allow brief glances into a deeper, more mechanical dimension in the far background. Paul Klee often doodled his personal fantasies.
