This artwork is a multi-layered bleed monotype overplayed with drypoint. It is part of a series of three monotypes. Delicately scratched drypoint roses (with their biased feminine association,) compliment the larger sweeping shapes of painterly color and allow brief glances into a deeper (more masculine associated,) mechanical dimension in the far background.
